Well this concept was suppose to be a follow up with the circus poster orkin ad, but following the same layout didn't work in favor here. There's still a few things I would like to clean up, I'll just reuse the layout for something else. Everyone felt the orginal concept of just having the roach by itself was strong enough. I'll post the retouch-up for this concept later on.
The background is a raster image while the text itself was layed out in illustrator. Played with typography abit focusing on contrast of solid and faded out letters. I love the dynamic pose of this image and how the wave is about to crash down. Any questions or comments?
Revamp of a previous concept. Can't believe how this file actually cause my cpu to ran out of ram a few times.....(im running off a quad-core 8gbs) Middle image is raster while the exterior is vector. During the presentation, I was excited that the Orkin Ads were mentioned. I love the overall feel of it and I'm currently working on revamping on the christmas roach.
If you been following my blog, I wanna say thanks! If you've noticed you may have seen this in an earlier blog. Revamped it in illustrator, eventually will turn into a flash header. Layering took awhile, majority of the time it's low opacity with filters. Any questions or comments?
It's a two-fer! A day and night scene for the Beacon news site. Straight-forward imagery, basically kept the same layout in both just changed the atmosphere. So far my fav done in illustrator. Love how its still under 5 mbs for both files.
This upload is abit higher res just to reduce the pixelation. Darius Hill did the the orginal design/color on top. Shawn Borsky I believe did the ad layout. I just reinked the vehicle in Illustrator. Timed myself to ink it under 2 hours, lost one hour layering the wrong color choice. I may later add gradient highlights just to see what happen. Will post if I do decide to do so.
